Surgical
The Surgical group is comprised of a team of doctors who work relentlessly to make our missions a success:

The Surgical team work in partnership across various regional hospitals in Ghana to perform surgeries annually. Over the years, SAF has been fortunate to partner with the Akosombo and Adukrom Hospitals - Eastern Region, Tetteh Quarshie Government Hospital - Greater Accra Region, and also Peki and Kejeibi Government Hospital, both in the Volta Region. Surgeries include hysterectomy (removal of diseased uterus), myomectomy (removing fibroids from the uterus), thyroidectomy (removal of the thyroid gland), herniotomy (hernia repair) and emergency caesarian sections.
The Surgical group is divided into two teams: General surgery and gynecological surgery.
General Surgery – Our general surgical team, lead by Dr Bratton, treats and operates on the most debilitating deformities in patients stricken with several issues such as massive goiter and inguinal hernias.
GYN Surgery – The GYN team, lead by Dr Nii-Moi, focuses on individualized treatment of the largest and most problematic fibroids with surgical procedures such as hysterectomies and myomectomies.
