President/Founder- Internist

Samuel O Bada, MBBS FACP

Dr. Samuel Bada of Jackson, Tennessee, is the President and CEO of the Save Africa Foundation (SAF). He founded the SAF in 2004, being driven by his sense of compassion for humanity.

Dr. Bada saw a critical need to deliver urgent and essential healthcare services to some of the most deprived and disadvantaged individuals in various regions of Ghana. Acting on this, he collaborated with the Storehouse for Jesus Foundation and other healthcare professionals in bringing the much-needed health care services to those in need.

Dr. Bada was medically trained at the University of Ibadan in Nigeria. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, and has been in practice for more than 20 years. He opened the ultimate health clinic in February 2003 after working for two years as an emergency doctor in area hospitals. Dr. Bada currently works as an internist in Jackson, Tennessee and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Bolivar General Hospital and Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

Dr. Bada has received several recognitions for his work in missions, one of which was an honorary doctorate from Emmanuel Baptist University. He continues to be a member in good standing with the American College of Physicians. He is a music enthusiast who pours his life into, and thoroughly enjoys caring for others.


Vice president - Internist

Dr. Martinson Ansah

Dr. Martinson Ansah joined SAF in the year 2008, donating his time and money as a way of giving back to his country.

He has led the medical team during SAF outreaches; diagnosed various diseases and treated numerous patients with acute conditions or referred them to the surgical team where surgery was required. Dr. Ansah has been practicing internal medicine for the past 18 years. He has been a medical practitioner at the Jackson Medicine County General Hospital in Tennessee since 2008, caring for the adult population. He began his journey as an electrical engineer and quickly realized halfway through his Ph.D. that his true passion was medicine. This he pursued, and completed his medical residency at St. Vincent Catholic Medical Centre, New York, in 2003, and for the next four (4) years, worked at Marshall University School of Medicine in West Virginia.


Director of Gynecological Services

Dr. Ebenezer Nii-Moi

Dr. Nii-Moi joined the SAF medical team where he currently serves as the chief of OB/GYN services.

Dr. Ebenezer Nii-Moi was born to Ghanaian parents in the United States. He went back to Ghana as a small child where he grew up and went to boarding school in Takoradi. He came back to the USA and did his undergraduate studies in Biochemistry at Montclair State University. He then went on to Medical School at Ross University in Dominica and did his residency in OB/GYN at Nassau University Medical Center in New York. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Nii-Moi worked in private practice for nine (9) years in Chesapeake Virginia, where he specialized in minimally invasive procedures. He was a leading Robotics GYN surgeon in Virginia. Dr. Nii-Moi currently works in Texas providing the best in women’s health care. In 2017 Dr. Nii-Moi joined the SAF medical team where he currently serves as the chief of OB/GYN services. He has led the team in performing numerous complex hysterectomies, myomectomies, C-sections and other OB/GYN cases. He is a dedicated and lifelong member of this organization.


Director of Pharmacy

Dr. Adwoa Antwi, PharmD

Dr. Adwoa Antwi, Pharm D joined SAF in July 2017 as it was an opportunity for her to give back to the disadvantaged population in Ghana.

She finds much pleasure working with our medical team providing clinical information about medications, dosing and substitutions. She finds it extremely rewarding educating patients and counseling them on their medications and answering any other health related questions they might have. She has a doctorate degree in pharmacological studies from Texas Tech University. Dr. Adwoa Antwi currently works in retail pharmacy. She enjoys reading, watching movies and dancing in her free time.


Head Surgeon

Dr. Christopher Bratton

Dr. Christopher Bratton joined SAF in 2002, a few years before it formally registered its outreach program.

He is a General Surgeon who wanted to share his education and skills to help those in need. Dr. Bratton who currently serves as the head of the surgical team during the SAF outreaches, has practiced as a general surgeon in private practice for 35 years. He was recently employed by High Point Hospital at Riverview in the USA where he does patient assessments and provides a wide variety of surgical treatments, including but not limited to hernia and thyroid surgeries. He completed his undergraduate studies at Vanderbilt University and continued to pursue medicine at the University of Tennessee. He then completed his Internship and Residency at Tulane in New Orleans. In his leisure time Dr. Bratton loves spending time with his Raise Santa Gertrudis Cattle and Quarter Horses. He also enjoys listening to music and playing the piano.


Chairman - Ghana Branch

Daniel Adu Appea

Mr. Daniel Adu Apea joined SAF four years ago as a volunteer willing to do his part in helping humanity. His numerous contributions have made past SAF missions a resounding success.

With much motivation and zeal, he has led the Ghanaian team in preparing and planning a number of outreaches over the years. Mr. Appea is an invaluable member of the team who effectively organizes our SAF program and contributes immensely towards the achievement of the organization’s goals. He serves on the board as the Chairman of the Ghana branch.

Mr. Appea holds a BSc in Electronics and Communications and currently works with Ghana Telecom as an Engineer. He is the standing Board Chairman of the Anum Rural Bank and also holds other key leadership positions within the community. He was granted a scholarship by the United States Telecommunications and Training Institute for a two-week training stint in 2003.

Mr. Appea looks forward to the future with SAF, as he continues to work diligently in assisting to deliver the services required to achieve the mandate of the Safe Africa Foundation. For his hobbies, he loves cycling, housekeeping and basketball.


Secretary

Hilda Asiedu, RN, BN, TNCC, CEN

Hilda Asiedu joined the Save Africa Foundation (SAF) in 2017 as the Secretary to the Board of Directors. Motivated by her passion for service and commitment to equitable healthcare, Hilda is a strong advocate for the needy and socially marginalized.

Her career began in office administration at Kaskoms Ltd., in Tema, Ghana, where she worked from 1997 to 2000. Following her move to Canada, she pursued a nursing education and began her nursing career in 2014. Hilda currently serves as a certified Emergency Nurse at Halton Healthcare and is registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario. She has expertise in medical/surgical neurology, nephrology, and mental health nursing.

In her role at SAF, Hilda is also a member of the clinical surgical team, conducting pre- and post-operative patient assessments and providing psychosocial, emotional, and physical support to patients and their families awaiting surgery. Recognized for her academic excellence by the Ontario Ministry of Education as an Ontario Scholar, Hilda enjoys traveling, reading, and exploring new topics.

Outreach Coordinator

Michael Gryciuk

Michael Gryciuk joined SAF in 2019 as Outreach Coordinator. He is a biomedical sciences student and researcher passionate about research, teaching, and volunteering.

Aside from his passion in helping the underprivileged, Michael has won many awards related to his teaching and research.

Medical Director - Ghana Branch

Dr. Kwadwo Kusi Brobbey Jr., MD

In 2015, Dr. Brobbey Jr. completed Vitebsk State Medical University, Russia and moved back to Ghana to practice as a medical doctor. During his stay in the country he worked at various deprived areas, working all around the clock to help people. He completed his residency at the Tamale Teaching Hospital in 2018 and has since worked in various deprived areas of the country to bring joy to people. He currently works at the Nyaho Medical Centre in Ghana. He has a deep seated passion for surgeries coupled with a great zeal for work and compassion for people. At his leisure he enjoys listening to music, playing the bass guitar or spending time driving.

Dr. Brobbey joined SAF in 2019 after he found out the amazing work that was going on this organization. His aim is to contribute immensely to this work and as part of the team, reach out to a greater number of people.
