About Save Africa Foundation

Who We Are

Save Africa Foundation (SAF) is a nonprofit organization with activities in Ghana and the United States, committed to improving access to healthcare for underserved communities in Ghana.

Founded in 2007, SAF was established in response to the challenges faced by people who cannot easily access essential medical and surgical treatment because of financial hardship and limited healthcare resources.

Through medical and surgical outreach programs, volunteer healthcare professionals, and partnerships with local hospitals, we help bring essential services closer to underserved communities.

Our commitment is clear: medical and surgical services provided through our outreach programs are free of charge to patients. Through the generosity of donors, volunteers, and partners, we work to reduce financial barriers, relieve suffering, and improve health outcomes.

Our Founder: Dr. Samuel Bada

A Vision Built on Compassion

Dr. Samuel Bada founded Save Africa Foundation in 2007 after recognizing the difficulties many people in Ghana face when trying to access essential medical and surgical care.

His experiences during visits to Ghana highlighted how financial hardship and limited resources could prevent people from receiving the treatment they needed. Motivated by a desire to make a meaningful difference, he brought together healthcare professionals and supporters to help address these challenges.

His founding vision was to make essential healthcare more accessible to underserved communities, particularly those who might otherwise go without treatment because they cannot afford it.

Today, SAF continues to advance that vision through free medical and surgical outreach programmes, partnerships with local hospitals, and the mobilization of healthcare professionals and essential medical resources.

Dr. Bada’s vision continues to guide our work: bringing compassionate care to those who need it most, regardless of their ability to pay.
