About Us

Our History

Save Africa foundation Inc. (SAF) is a registered Nonprofit organization with operations in Ghana, West Africa and the USA. It was founded in 2004 by Dr. Samuel Bada of Jackson, Tennessee. During his numerous visits to Ghana, Dr. Bada identified that there was an urgent need to provide some critical and necessary healthcare services to some of the poorest people within the regions. In the rural areas of Ghana, lack of resources coupled with poverty are barriers to receiving quality healthcare. Having noted this need, he made it his personal mission to help change the lives of the underprivileged by helping them gain free access to healthcare and independence.

Dr. Bada believes that every human deserves the chance to live with dignity and to have timely and accessible medical/surgical care to treatable/preventable conditions. He decided to collaborate with other interested healthcare professionals to provide interventions in a real and meaningful way to people who are unable to afford health care. As a result, over the past fifteen years, members of SAF have been taking medical trips to Ghana in collaboration with the Storehouse for Jesus Foundation providing medical and surgical treatments to those who are in need. In addition, the foundation has been supporting needy students with school expenses and basic necessities such as clothing and shoes, as well as supporting local organizations with leadership and clinical skills.
